North Manchester Chamber of Commerce Launches Annual Community Fundraiser

The North Manchester Chamber of Commerce has launched its Annual Community Fundraiser - a raffle to win a Corvette. The winner has the choice of receiving a $10,000 US Savings Bond in lieu of the car.

This year the Chamber is raffling off a '79 red Corvette. The car features glass t-tops, a 4-speed transmission, power windows and locks and a 350 V8 engine. The car can be seen at Butterbaugh's One Stop at the corner of Highway 114 and 13.

Proceeds from the raffle benefit the Community Fund of the Chamber. Citizens who live, work or play in the North Manchester area can win a classic American sports car and help improve the quality of life at the same time! Tickets are available at the following locations: Butterbaugh's One Stop, Hire's Gifts and Electronics, Lance's New Market, Liquid Assets, Main View Inn, Shepherd's Chev-Olds, Inc., Sites Insurance Agency and at the Chamber of Commerce office, 109 N. Market Street, North Manchester.

"We are really excited about this year's Corvette selection. Without a doubt, it is the best one we have had in the 7 years we have been holding the raffle. This is also a great looking car and we look forward to awarding it to this year's winner", said Laura Rager, Chamber Board Chairman.

The winner will be announced during the Cruizin Illusions Car Show, Friday, August 10, 2001. The Cruizin Show is a major attraction of the Annual FunFest in North Manchester August 9-12, 2001.

The North Manchester Chamber of Commerce serves to facilitate the growth and promotion of its members, supporting them through education, training, and advocacy.
