The North Manchester Chamber of Commerce, incorporated in 1948, is a voluntary organization of businesses and professionals which serves to facilitate the growth and promotion of it's members, supporting them through education, training and advocacy.
The Chamber serves as a community leader, fostering projects and programs that promote the economic health, welfare and development of business in the North Manchester area.
As a community leader, the Chamber of Commerce acts as a conduit through which other organizations and people can coordinate and improve the economic vitality in the North Manchester area.
The Chamber of Commerce works to promote its member businesses. one means of such promotion is through ceremonial ribbon cuttings, celebrating the opening or new location of an area business. Other ways are attending Manchester University's Move-In Days and Activities Fairs, where members' flyers, business cards and coupons are distributed to students.
In order to carry out its mission, the Chamber of Commerce works from a set of measurable goals and objectives, established by the Board of Directors, that are designed to meet the needs of segments of the community and the membership which it serves.
